Travel Style

We had no sooner returned to Seattle on the Clipper when I heard from Kevin, my fiancee. Nevada had been hot, dry and dusty in my absence and he was ready to drive home as soon as I could arrive.

My flight was scheduled for Tuesday. That left me with one day more to spend in Seattle with my daughter and her husband. We spent it getting her outdoor garden area all cleaned up for spring. I also hit a couple of my favorite Seattle staircases on a walk. The view of the sound was as beautiful as ever!

Then we went to our favorite local restaurant, El Chupacabra Alki (https://elchupacabraseattle.com), for a farewell dinner. More Seattle family, Jon and Edis, joined us. Good Mexican fare!

We left the morning after I arrived in Las Vegas. Kevin and I are learning each other’s travel styles. When Kevin decides to go, he will put himself through long hours of driving to get there. I have frequently done the same. We traveled 960 miles the first day and over 850 on the second day. We stopped at gas stations where meals, bathroom breaks and refueling were all done at once. Our choice. We were tired, but it was on purpose. It was good to be back home.

Now all we have to do is get caught up on local happenings, and plan a wedding. Yeah, that’s all. Stay tuned.

Talk (write) to me.
